Bio
A dominant country ruckman recruited from Redan in the Ballarat Football League, Don Discher arrived at St Kilda fresh off a Henderson Medal win in 1977. Standing 196cm, he offered a significant physical presence in the contest, though his aggression occasionally landed him in hot water, most notably during a 1979 clash against Collingwood where he was suspended for striking both Peter Moore and Terry Wight. While he managed just 12 senior games over two seasons at Moorabbin, Discher returned to the BFL to forge a legendary local career, claiming a second league best-and-fairest in 1985 and captaining the interleague representative side.
