Bio
Born in 1901, Don Fraser was a productive forward for Richmond who made the most of his limited opportunities at VFL level before establishing himself as a VFA legend. Recruited from the local junior ranks, he broke into the Tigers' senior lineup in 1923 and immediately displayed a sharp nose for goal, booting 25 majors in just 18 games across three seasons at Punt Road. While his senior VFL career was brief, his influence on the club endured through his son, the infamous Don "Mopsy" Fraser, who would later become a cult figure in the yellow and black. A natural goal-kicker who later dominated for Oakleigh, Fraser is remembered as the skilled patriarch of a two-generation Richmond dynasty.
