Stats
Bio
Recruited from Leopold and the Collingwood Juniors, Don Fraser was a serviceable half-back who briefly established himself as a fixture in the Magpies' defence during the early 1900s. After breaking into the senior side in 1904, he enjoyed his standout campaign in 1905, playing 19 games and lining up in the Grand Final loss to Fitzroy. Fraser was a solid rather than spectacular operator, relying on his reliability and frame to hold down a spot in the back half, though his top-level career concluded midway through the 1906 season. A decade after his football days ended, he served in World War I and survived a gas attack in France, returning home to live a quiet life until his passing in 1963.
