Bio
Recruited from local club Geelong West, Don Scott was a speedy small forward who arrived at Kardinia Park during the Cats' golden era of the early 1950s. He burst onto the scene in Round 4, 1951, booting three goals on debut against Carlton in a performance that showcased his pace and goal sense. However, cementing a regular spot in a Geelong side destined for back-to-back premierships proved incredibly difficult, and he spent much of his time on the fringe of selection or serving as the 20th man. Unable to displace the established stars of Reg Hickey's dynasty, Scott managed 12 senior games over two seasons before his VFL career came to a close.
