Bio
A unique sporting convert, Doug Bailey arrived at St Kilda as an elite rower who had represented Victoria in the Kings Cup before turning his focus to the AFL. Selected with pick 33 in the 1994 Pre-Season Draft, the 190cm utility made an immediate impact, playing 10 games in his debut season where his height and athletic background allowed him to fill various roles for the Saints. Despite this promising start, Bailey's time at the elite level was derailed by injury, limiting him to just one senior appearance in 1995. After leaving Moorabbin, he extended his playing career in South Australia, notching 50 games for Woodville-West Torrens in the SANFL.
