Bio
A graduate of the South Melbourne reserves, Doug Magor worked his way into the senior lineup during the 1967 season. He made his debut in a drawn match against Carlton at the Lake Oval, retaining his place for seven games that year as a utility capable of filling gaps across the ground. Magor crossed to Footscray for the 1968 season but struggled to command regular selection, adding just two senior appearances and kicking his only career goal in a match against North Melbourne. His time in the VFL was tragically cut short when he was killed in a car accident near Batemans Bay in January 1969, aged just 21.
