Stats
Bio
Recruited from Bayswater in the Eastern District Football League, Doug Woolley earned his opportunity at VFL level with North Melbourne during the 1962 season. Standing at 180cm, he was a medium-sized utility who was primarily deployed in defensive roles, failing to hit the scoreboard during his brief tenure at the top level. He broke into the senior lineup for a cluster of games in that single season, managing six appearances for a Kangaroos side that finished in the middle of the ladder. Woolley's VFL career did not extend beyond that year, leaving him as one of the many determined local footballers who earned a brief stint at Arden Street before departing the elite stage.
