Bio
Recruited from Stawell in the Wimmera district, Edgar "Johnny" Walker arrived at Windy Hill in 1932 as a country recruit looking to make his mark in the VFL. Standing 178cm, he primarily operated as a half-back flanker, utilising his solid frame to repel attacks, though he demonstrated enough versatility to be deployed at centre half-forward in his final senior appearance. After becoming a regular fixture in the side during the 1933 season, he struggled to hold his spot early the following year and was cleared to Camberwell in June 1934. Walker subsequently forged a successful five-season career in the VFA, playing 67 matches for the Cobras before later serving his country in the Second World War.
