Stats
Bio
Ed Ryan was a mature-age recruit from Sale in the Gippsland region who earned a brief trial with Fitzroy during the middle of the 1926 season. Standing 180cm, he was a tall utility by the standards of the era but found the transition to League football difficult after making his debut in Round 10 against Essendon. He managed just three consecutive senior appearances—gathering minimal possessions and failing to register a mark—before being omitted from the side. Ryan’s VFL career was confined to that short mid-season stint before he moved on from Brunswick Street.
