Stats
Bio
Standing at just 165cm, Eddie Craddock was a diminutive rover and forward pocket who carved out a permanent place in Melbourne folklore during the club's 1948 premiership campaign. Originally cleared from Collingwood without playing a senior game, he broke into the Demons' lineup as a crumbing forward who thrived at the feet of veteran full-forward Jack Mueller. Craddock played the football of his life during the 1948 finals series, kicking five goals across the Semi and Preliminary finals before booting the opening major of the famous Grand Final draw against Essendon. He held his spot for the subsequent replay victory to secure a flag in only his second season. Despite his finals heroics, Craddock managed just 30 senior games over four years before transferring to VFA club Northcote in 1951.
