Stats
Bio
Recruited from the prolific football nursery of Parade College, Eddie Millar was a solidly built utility who could operate as a ruck-rover or in the back pocket. He made a memorable senior debut on his 20th birthday in 1958, called up as a late replacement for Bill Twomey and gaining his opportunity on the field only after Errol Hutchesson suffered a broken foot. Despite being considered an honest and reliable contributor, Millar found it difficult to cement a regular spot in the Magpies' formidable lineup during their famous 1958 premiership campaign. He managed just five senior appearances and a solitary goal across two seasons before crossing to the VFA, where he later played in a premiership side with Preston.
