Bio
A diminutive rover and forward pocket recruited from Sunshine, Eddie Phillips played a brief but efficient cameo for Footscray during the 1952 season. Standing just 169cm, he broke into the senior lineup midway through the year and immediately showed an eye for goal, averaging better than a major a game during his seven-match stint. Despite his ability to hit the scoreboard, Phillips' VFL career was confined to that single winter at the Western Oval before he departed the league scene.
