Bio
Arriving at Princes Park midway through the 1904 season, Eddie Prescott joined the Blues after a contentious clearance dispute saw him blocked from joining North Melbourne but greenlit for Carlton. Recruited from VFA side Williamstown, the dangerous forward made an immediate impact, booting nine goals in just 11 appearances. He cemented his place in the side quickly enough to line up in the 1904 Grand Final against Fitzroy, where he slotted a major in the club's heartbreaking loss. Despite a promising debut season that saw him feature on the league's biggest stage, Prescott's VFL career was ultimately confined to that single memorable year.
