Recruited from the Carlton Colts, Eddie Tucker was a diminutive rover and forward pocket who earned a brief opportunity with Fitzroy during the 1954 season. Standing just 171cm, Tucker broke into the senior side late in the year, making a memorable debut in a hard-fought win over Collingwood at the Brunswick Street Oval. He held his spot for four of the final five rounds, booting his solitary career goal against St Kilda, but was unable to secure a long-term position on the Lions' list and departed the VFL scene at the conclusion of the year.
