Bio
Recruited from the Point Cook Flying School, Eric Andersen commenced his VFL journey with Melbourne at the start of their triumphant 1926 season. The utility made the most of his early opportunities, booting two goals in the opening round, but found himself squeezed out of a star-studded lineup that would go on to win the flag. After departing the Demons to play for Brighton in the VFA and Castlemaine in the country, Andersen earned a second chance at the elite level with Footscray in 1929. He found greater continuity at the Western Oval, playing 22 games over two seasons as a serviceable contributor before finishing his league career.
