Bio
Eric Cormack was a multi-talented sportsman recruited from Kerang who balanced a brief VFL career with elite achievements in swimming and water polo. Playing as an amateur during his two seasons at the Junction Oval, he managed 11 senior appearances for the Saints before moving to the Riverina to coach Jerilderie. Although he later attempted a return to the league with Melbourne, playing in their seconds, his long-term contribution to St Kilda came off the field when he served on the club's selection committee during the early 1940s. A renowned water polo champion, Cormack also found success in the racing industry, most notably owning the horse that won the 1945 Australian Cup.
