Bio
Born in Eaglehawk but recruited from Coburg in the VFA, Eric Little was a diminutive footballer who made an immediate impression upon his arrival at Princes Park. He debuted late in the 1931 season and quickly found himself thrust into high-pressure football, playing in two finals matches for the Blues in his very first year. Despite this promising start, he struggled to cement a permanent place in the Carlton lineup over the following seasons, eventually departing midway through 1934 to play for Kyneton in the Bendigo Football League. He earned a VFL reprieve the following year with St Kilda, managing 14 senior games for the Saints in a single-season stint. Little eventually returned to the country as a captain-coach, steering Kyneton to a premiership in 1936 before finishing his playing days back at Coburg.
