Bio
A Tasmanian import recruited from Launceston, Eric Richardson made the journey across Bass Strait to try his luck with St Kilda. Born in the midlands town of Campbell Town, he was given an opportunity during the 1915 season, a campaign heavily disrupted by the Great War, managing three consecutive appearances between rounds 4 and 6. Despite the Saints struggling near the foot of the ladder, Richardson could not lock down a position in the starting 18 or impact the scoreboard. His VFL career remained a brief three-game cameo before he eventually returned to the Apple Isle, leaving a legacy as one of the many short-term players who filled the breach during a chaotic era for the league.
