Bio
Arriving at Windy Hill with a notable pedigree, Eric Webster was the nephew of former Essendon premiership star Len Webster. He was recruited from Korumburra in South Gippsland, initially cutting his teeth in the seconds during 1956 before earning his senior debut the following year. Standing 188cm, Webster was a tall follower who provided support in the ruck and contested situations, though he often found himself on the fringe of the starting lineup. Unable to command a regular position in the senior eighteen, he featured in just 11 games across two seasons before transferring to the VFA. After a brief stint with Port Melbourne in 1959, he returned to country football where he enjoyed a long tenure with Trafalgar.
