Stats
Bio
Recruited from Kerang in northern Victoria, Ern Williamson was a sizable recruit who provided St Kilda with much-needed height during the 1906 VFL season. Standing 184cm, he was a giant by the standards of the Edwardian era, physically equipped to handle the rigours of ruck work or key defence against opposition heavyweights. He made his debut in a side that was beginning to show rare improvement, managing five senior games as the Saints pushed away from the bottom of the ladder. Despite his physical advantages, Williamson could not secure a permanent position in the line-up and left the VFL landscape after just one season of senior football.
