Bio
Recruited from Prahran in the VFA, Ernie Dingwall was a small-statured footballer who made a brief cameo for Carlton during the 1922 season. Standing 173cm, he earned a call-up to the senior side in Round 2 and managed to hold his spot for eight consecutive matches, kicking his solitary career goal in a clash against Richmond. His time at the top level was ultimately short-lived, and after failing to cement a permanent place in the Blues' lineup, he departed Princes Park and returned to the Association to resume his career with Prahran.
