A product of the Sydney Swans Academy, Errol Gulden slid to pick 32 in the 2020 National Draft due to perceived limitations regarding his size, a judgement that quickly proved erroneous. He burst onto the scene in 2021, delivering a best-on-ground performance on debut against Brisbane, and rapidly established himself as a vital component of the Swans' regenerating list. Possessing an elite tank and a damaging left foot, Gulden evolved from a creative half-forward into one of the competition's premier wingmen, capable of accumulating massive possession numbers while slicing through defensive zones with precision kicking.

His breakout 2023 campaign saw him claim his first Bob Skilton Medal and All-Australian honours, cementing his status as an elite ball-winner who could impact matches both on the inside and outside. By the time he reached his 100-game milestone, Gulden had become the engine of the Sydney midfield, renowned for his relentless two-way running and ability to deliver the ball inside 50 with exceptional accuracy. Now an established leader at the club, he remains one of the most consistent and damaging users in the league.
