Bio
Recruited from Subiaco with pick 27 in the 1996 National Draft, Evan Hewitt arrived at North Melbourne during the club's formidable late-1990s era. As a developing tall forward, he faced the difficult task of breaking into a forward line anchored by Wayne Carey and Corey McKernan, managing just 33 games across four seasons while primarily serving as key-position depth. Seeking greater opportunities, Hewitt was traded to Adelaide ahead of the 2001 season, where he initially impressed as a mobile target who could also provide relief in the ruck. His tenure at the Crows peaked with a five-goal haul against Collingwood in Round 14 of his first year, but he was unable to sustain that form into 2002 and was delisted at the season's end.
