Bio
Flynn Woolhouse is a mobile key forward who has developed his craft with the Oakleigh Chargers in the Coates Talent League, receiving mentoring from former AFL player and Oakleigh coach Travis Cloke. While made to wait for an opportunity with Vic Metro at the National Championships, he made a major statement when finally called upon. In his lone appearance against Vic Country, Woolhouse produced one of the most dominant performances by a marking forward in the carnival, kicking a match-winning bag of goals. His form earned him an invitation to the state draft combine, where he starred by winning the standing vertical jump.
Woolhouse possesses super clean hands in the air and attacks the football at its highest point. Scouts praise his ability to roam up the ground, take strong grabs on the lead, and outmuscle opponents in one-on-one contests. His field kicking and set-shot conversion from tough angles are considered major strengths, alongside a solid defensive work rate. While evaluators hope to see greater consistency following some quiet patches in the Talent League, his athletic upside makes him an enticing talent. He is widely viewed as a potential late selection in this year's draft.
