Bio
Hailing from the Riverina town of Balldale, Frank Anderson established himself as a consistent performer in the VFA with Camberwell before the Second World War reshaped the football landscape. With the VFA competition in recess during 1942, Anderson crossed to North Melbourne to test himself at the highest level, adding valuable experience to the Shinboners' squad during a chaotic era for team selection. Standing at 173cm, he was a creative small man capable of rotating through the forward pocket and roving roles. His VFL career was ultimately defined by his military obligations, playing seven games in his debut season and reappearing for a solitary match against Collingwood in 1944 while on leave from active service. After his brief stint at Arden Street, he returned to the VFA to continue his career with Camberwell and later Port Melbourne.
