Bio
Born in Hobart, Frank Dossetor entered the VFL via the prestigious Melbourne Grammar pathway, joining University for the 1909 season. A noted all-round amateur sportsman who resided at Trinity College, he was perhaps more distinguished as an oarsman than a footballer, serving as stroke for the varsity rowing crew during his studies. His time in the VFL was brief, yielding just three senior appearances for the Students as a utility player before he shifted his focus entirely to his ecclesiastical calling. Although briefly listed by Melbourne in 1911 without adding to his game tally, he left the sport to become the Reverend Francis Dossetor, eventually serving as a military chaplain in both World Wars and settling in England as a parish rector.
