Bio
Recruited from Violet Town via Benalla, Frank Hogan arrived at the Lake Oval to join his brothers Pat and Kevin, establishing a strong family connection at South Melbourne in the late 1950s. While his VFL career was brief—spanning just 12 games as a rover and forward over two seasons—Hogan found his true footballing home after crossing the border to the SANFL. Joining West Adelaide in 1960, he developed into a prolific goal-kicking rover, booting 120 goals in 58 games and playing a pivotal role in the Bloods' 1961 premiership triumph under Neil Kerley. His silky skills and ability to find the goals earned him selection for South Australia, representing his adopted state five times before he returned to country Victoria to enjoy further premiership success in the Ovens & Murray League with Wangaratta Rovers.
