Bio
Recruited from South Bendigo, Frank Jorgensen was a versatile utility who found himself on the periphery of two separate premiership eras. He began his VFL tenure with Geelong, featuring regularly for two seasons just as the club was building toward its 1925 flag triumph. In a twist of timing, Jorgensen crossed to Melbourne prior to that breakthrough season, where he initially found greater team success, playing in the Redlegs' 1925 finals campaign that ended in a Preliminary Final loss. However, his fortunes waned as Melbourne surged to the 1926 premiership; struggling to crack a powerful lineup, he managed only two senior appearances that year and watched on as his teammates lifted the cup. He played one final match in 1927 before departing the league, leaving a legacy as a serviceable contributor who narrowly missed the ultimate success at two powerhouse clubs.
