Stats
Bio
Recruited from Werribee in the VFA, Frank Lesiputty was a utility who earned a brief opportunity at the highest level with Footscray in 1987. Standing 185cm, he played just two senior games and kicked one goal under Mick Malthouse before departing the Western Oval. While his VFL career was fleeting, Lesiputty became a cult hero and genuine star upon returning to the VFA. A tough, resolute centre half-back who could also swing forward, he was a key pillar in Werribee's historic 1993 premiership side—the club's first First Division flag. His standing at the Tigers was confirmed when he was named in Werribee's Team of the Decade, remembered as a hard-at-it competitor who saved his best football for the standalone second-tier competition.
