Bio
A towering forward for his era at 185cm, Frank Ludlow arrived at North Melbourne as a seasoned mature-age recruit after serving a productive apprenticeship in the VFA with Preston and Northcote. He was brought into the side in the middle of the 1929 season and immediately displayed his goal-kicking nous, booting five goals across his three senior appearances to average nearly two majors a game. Despite this sharp return in front of the big sticks, he could not lock down a permanent place in the Shinboners' lineup and was unable to add to his tally after that season. Ludlow later relocated to New South Wales, where he extended his football journey as a key figure for Newtown and North Shore in the Sydney competition.
