Bio
Recruited from local side Geelong East, Frank Moran was a reliable defender who became a fixture in the Pivotonians' backline during the pre-war era. Standing firm in defence, he was known for his steady work rate and ability to repel opposition attacks, often featuring on the half-back line where his disciplined positioning was a key asset. His career at Corio Oval was bookended by finals appearances, debuting in the club's 1907 semi-final run and concluding his time in the VFL after helping Geelong reach the finals again in 1911. A consistent contributor throughout his five seasons, Moran provided stability to the team's defensive structure during a transitional period for the club.
