Bio
Recruited from the Dandenong Stingrays with pick 24 in the 1997 National Draft, Frank Raso was a midfielder and small defender who looked to provide run and carry for Collingwood during a lean era for the club. He broke into the senior side in 1998 and played the majority of his football as a teenager, featuring periodically in a struggling lineup that eventually claimed the wooden spoon in 1999. While he possessed the pace and skill expected of a second-round selection, Raso was unable to establish himself as a consistent staple of the Magpies' rotation. He was delisted at the conclusion of the 1999 season after just two years at Victoria Park, ending his AFL career prior to the club's resurgence under Mick Malthouse.
