Bio
Recruited from local feeder club Carlton District, Frank Triplett was a winger and centreman whose career is defined by a harsh instance of selection integrity. A regular fixture in the Blues' lineup throughout 1914, he helped the club secure the minor premiership but paid the ultimate price for a Second Semi-Final loss to Fitzroy, being omitted from the Grand Final team. While his teammates went on to defeat South Melbourne and claim the flag, Triplett was left without a premiership medallion despite playing 16 games during the campaign. He played one final season in 1915 before his VFL career concluded, standing as a notable hard-luck story of the club's pre-war era.
