Stats
Bio
Hailing from Golden Square in the Bendigo goldfields, Fred Cronin was a fringe footballer who managed a brief tenure with Geelong at the turn of the century. He broke into the senior side late in the 1902 season, making his VFL debut in Round 15 during a mediocre campaign where the Pivotonians finished well out of finals contention. Cronin was retained for the following year and added five more games to his tally, booting his solitary career goal in 1903, but he found it difficult to secure a permanent role in a team featuring club stalwarts like Teddy Rankin. Unable to cement a spot in the starting 18, his time at Corio Oval was short-lived, with his career concluding after just seven matches across two seasons.
