Bio
A recruit from the goldfields region, Fred Forbes joined Fitzroy from Eaglehawk and made his debut in the 1908 season. He proved to be a handy avenue to goal during his short time at Brunswick Street, booting six majors in just five senior appearances for the Maroons. While he did not cement a long-term spot in the VFL lineup, he returned to the bush where he remained a respected figure in regional football, eventually serving as the captain of South Bendigo in 1912.
