Honours

Recruited from Western Districts in Queensland, Gavin Crosisca was a trailblazer who became one of Collingwood's most durable and consistent performers throughout the late 1980s and 1990s. Arriving at Victoria Park at a time when recruits from the northern states were a rarity, he quickly established himself in the senior side, showcasing a versatility that allowed him to fill roles ranging from a running wingman to a tight-checking defender. His defining moment came early in his career as a member of the drought-breaking 1990 premiership team, where his steady presence on the half-back flank was instrumental in the Magpies' historic victory.

Over a 14-season tenure, Crosisca was renowned for his professionalism and ability to shut down dangerous opponents while providing counter-attack drive from defence. Despite often flying under the radar compared to higher-profile teammates, he was a vital component of the Magpies' structure, finishing runner-up in the Copeland Trophy in 1994 and representing the Allies in State of Origin fixtures. He retired as a revered one-club player and a life member, leaving a legacy as one of the first non-traditional state recruits to reach the 200-game milestone in the AFL era.
