Bio
Recruited from Kyabram in the Goulburn Valley, Gavin McMahon was selected by the Sydney Swans with pick 55 in the 1992 National Draft. He arrived at the club during a tumultuous period for the organisation, breaking into the senior side in 1993 as the team struggled through a historic losing streak. A utility player used for depth during the early tenure of coach Ron Barassi, McMahon found opportunities limited and was unable to cement a regular spot in the lineup. He managed just five appearances across two seasons before being delisted at the conclusion of the 1994 campaign.
