Stats
Bio
Recruited from St Kilda’s reserves, Geoff Elliott arrived at the Brunswick Street Oval in 1962 seeking greater senior opportunities after finding his path blocked at the Saints. A solidly built defender standing 184cm and weighing 85kg, he possessed the physical presence to match up on opposing key forwards but demonstrated the versatility to drift up the ground, managing to boot three goals during his short stint. He broke into the Fitzroy lineup during a transitional era for the club, playing alongside club legend Kevin Murray, but found himself on the fringe of selection throughout his tenure. Elliott ultimately played nine games across two seasons before departing the VFL scene at the end of 1963, representative of the journeymen who filled gaps for the Lions during the club's challenging mid-60s period.
