Bio
Recruited from Warrandyte, Geoff Everett was a determined utility who briefly established himself in the Fitzroy lineup as a run-with player. He made his senior debut in the final round of the 1980 season before enjoying his most consistent run of form the following year. Everett is best remembered for a superb tagging job in early 1981, where he successfully curbed Hawthorn legend Leigh Matthews during an upset win at Princes Park. Despite this high point, he struggled to maintain a permanent spot in the seniors and left the VFL after the 1982 season, later finding success as a premiership coach with Melton in the Riddell District Football League.
