Bio
A product of the club's local recruiting zone, Geoff Grant joined the Tigers after a standout stint with South Richmond, where he had claimed a premiership and a Best and Fairest. Standing just 168cm, Grant was a diminutive half-forward and follower who relied on agility and persistence rather than size to win the ball. After getting a taste of senior football in his debut 1936 season, he became a fixture in the side during 1937, playing every match including the semi-final loss to Collingwood. Despite establishing himself as a regular that year, his opportunities at the top level dwindled the following season, and he eventually departed the VFL scene prior to serving his country during the Second World War.
