Bio
A prolific forward recruited from the SANFL, Geoff Linke arrived at St Kilda as a mature-age recruit with a formidable reputation after booting nearly 300 goals for South Adelaide. Selected in the 1981 draft, he looked set to translate his goal-kicking prowess to the VFL, slotting three goals across his first two senior appearances in 1982. However, his Victorian career was cruelly cut short when he suffered a severe knee injury in just his second game. Despite attempting a comeback the following pre-season, a recurrence of the injury forced him out of the league, leaving him as a talented "what if" who never got the chance to fully establish himself at Moorabbin.
