Bio
Recruited from Nandaly in Victoria's Mallee region, Geoff McMillan was a versatile key position prospect who arrived at Richmond with a reputation as a strong overhead mark. Comfortable in both defence and attack, he showed glimpses of his potential during a brief stint at Punt Road, with his standout performance coming in 1979 when he was tasked with manning North Melbourne champion Malcolm Blight and restricted him to just three goals. McMillan opted to continue his career in the SANFL with Norwood in 1980, but his football journey ended prematurely when he sustained a serious leg injury in his debut game for the Redlegs, forcing him into retirement.
