Bio
Recruited from VFA club Box Hill, Geoff Stafford was a mid-sized utility who earned a brief opportunity at the top level with Hawthorn during the 1966 season. He broke into the senior lineup in Round 10 against Geelong and managed to hold his spot for a seven-week block, kicking two goals as the Hawks battled their way to a ninth-place finish. Standing 178cm, Stafford was given a run in the side as the club experimented with its list at Glenferrie Oval, but he was unable to cement a long-term position. His VFL career was restricted to that single winter, with his final appearance coming in a loss to Essendon in Round 16 before he exited the league.
