Bio
Recruited from Hawthorn City, Geoff Wilson emerged as a capable forward option for the Hawks during the late 1950s. He maintained a consistent strike rate during his three seasons at Glenferrie Oval, averaging almost a goal a game while the club worked to establish itself as a finals contender under coaches Jack Hale and John Kennedy Sr. Despite his serviceable form in front of the big sticks, Wilson departed the VFL scene at the end of the 1960 season, narrowly missing out on Hawthorn's maiden premiership the following year. He subsequently carved out a formidable legacy in the VFA with Dandenong, where he became a prolific full-forward and a key figure in the club's rise to prominence in the 1960s.
