Bio
George Dimer overcame a preseason back stress fracture to star for the Sandringham Dragons and Vic Metro in 2026. The energetic small forward, who came through the East Brighton Vampires, built strong form heading into the National Championships and played a key role for an undefeated Vic Metro side. His standout carnival included a three-goal performance against the Allies. Dimer also displayed his athletic traits at the national draft combine, finishing third overall in the agility test.
Widely rated as a second-round draft prospect, Dimer is highly regarded for his elite speed and clean hands. He consistently connects the forward half with well-timed leads and smart positioning, while maintaining great tackle pressure at ground level. Scouts praise his composure below his knees and his ability to manufacture scoring opportunities. His character and leadership capabilities are also massive selling points for AFL clubs, with Dimer balancing his draft campaign while serving as Haileybury's football captain. He is expected to be one of the more highly sought-after small forwards in the draft pool.
