Bio
Recruited from Northcote in the Victorian Football Association, George Featherstone was given a brief opportunity at the highest level with Fitzroy during the 1910 season. The Ararat-born footballer broke into the Maroons' lineup midway through the year, debuting in a squad that was fighting to bridge the gap to the top four. He featured in five senior matches and managed to hit the scoreboard with a solitary career goal, but found it difficult to cement a permanent position in a competitive team that ultimately finished fifth. His stint at Brunswick Street was short-lived, with Featherstone departing the VFL scene after just one season of senior football.
