Bio
The son of former Melbourne and Footscray player George Garlick, this diminutive rover and forward pocket joined North Melbourne from VFA club Yarraville. Standing just 170cm, Garlick was given his opportunity at Arden Street during the Second World War, a period when VFL lists were heavily impacted by service enlistments. He played eight games across the 1943 and 1944 seasons, primarily operating as a small forward, but was unable to hit the scoreboard during his time at the top level. Following his brief VFL stint, he received a permit to return to Yarraville in 1945 to continue his career in the Association.
