Bio
Born in Wandsworth, England, George Renwick was a rare overseas-born recruit who briefly featured for Carlton during the club's golden era. Recruited from West Melbourne, he faced the unenviable task of breaking into a Blues lineup that had secured three consecutive premierships between 1906 and 1908. Renwick made his debut in the opening round of the 1909 season against Geelong at Princes Park and held his spot for the first month of football, playing as a follower. However, after failing to impact the scoreboard or cement his position within the rotation, he was omitted following a Round 4 loss to South Melbourne and did not feature at senior VFL level again.
