Bio
Recruited from Nathalia in country Victoria, George Robinson was a pacy wingman and half-forward known for his clever ball use and impressive turn of speed. He quickly established himself as a regular fixture in the Richmond lineup, playing consistently throughout the 1925 and 1926 seasons. By 1927, however, Robinson had fallen out of favour and spent most of the year in the reserves, managing just two senior appearances during the home-and-away campaign. His VFL career concluded on a notable albeit difficult note when he was recalled as a late replacement for the injured Jack Baggott in the 1927 Grand Final against Collingwood. Following that defeat, he departed the top level to play for Fitzroy Reserves and later Northcote in the VFA.
