Bio
Originally from the Wimmera region, George Waterhouse was a true footballing nomad whose brief VFL career was defined by constant movement rather than stability. After impressing in the country with Horsham and Ballarat Imperial, he initially established himself in the VFA with Geelong Association, but his 1925 campaign became a unique footnote in history as he suited up for three separate clubs across two leagues in a single season. He managed just two senior games for South Melbourne after a mid-year transfer before finishing the season with Port Melbourne. Standing 182cm, Waterhouse possessed the size to play key posts but struggled to command a permanent spot at the elite level, adding a handful of appearances for Richmond in 1926 and a solitary game for Fitzroy in 1927. His journeyman career yielded 10 VFL games for three clubs in three years, and his life was tragically cut short when he passed away in 1931 at the age of 32.
